Actisweep V9 push broom
The Actisweep V9 is built on the same chassis as the V13, but with nine rows of brushes instead of thirteen. The wider spacing is deliberate: sticky material has somewhere to go instead of packing solid between the rows. That makes it the one to have for muck, bedding and anything damp, which is why it is the model that ends up in livestock yards and riding schools.
There is no hydraulics on it and nothing to service. It hitches to a loader, forks, a bucket or a three-point linkage in a few seconds, and you simply drive forward — no need to push down on it.
How the V-Concept works
The front rows of brushes are set in a V. As you drive forward the V pulls the material into the middle of the broom rather than letting it escape down both sides, so you are not left with two swaths to come back and cross. Actisweep hold the patent on it and rate the broom at four times the output of a rotary sweeper.
The row layout on the V9 is:
- 4 straight rows across the back
- 3 rows forming the V at the front, gathering material to the centre
- 2 short rows at the tip of the V, to spread the load evenly and stop sweepings building up
Brushes
Solid polypropylene fibre, 300mm long and 3–4mm thick, at a high density per row. Actisweep quote a brush life of up to 1,000km, though that will depend on what you are sweeping and what you are sweeping it on — concrete is harder work than a shed floor.
When the brushes are done you do not replace the broom. Replacement brush kits are held in stock: unbolt the sides, slide the worn rows out, slide the new ones into the rails, bolt the sides back on. About fifteen minutes.
Build
Heavy-gauge folded steel frame, epoxy painted. The adapters are hot-dip galvanised. No hydraulic connections and no grease points — hose the brushes off when you are finished. It will stand in the corner of the workshop on its own brushes, which carry the weight of the chassis quite happily, so there is nothing to hang up.

Fitting it to your machine
There is an adapter for most things on the yard — tractor loader, forklift, telehandler bucket, bale gripper or a three-point linkage. Hitching and unhitching takes five to ten seconds once the adapter is on. Tell us what you are putting it on and we will confirm which adapter you need.
Options
- Anti-scattering kit — adds a second collection area of 150mm each side, so you can run tight along a wall or a kerb without catching the structure.
- Angulation kit — lets the broom be angled to swath material out to one side instead of pushing it straight ahead.
- Strengthened frame — heavy-gauge steel protection all the way round the broom.
Availability
Brooms, brushes, adapters and options are held in stock, with delivery normally inside a fortnight.
The four-times-a-rotary-sweeper output and the 1,000km brush life are Actisweep's own published figures.
