This is a generic Prosaro. We buy from a number of suppliers, so the can delivered could be any one of several brands, including Levancio, Prospa, Navaro, Pevi, Oraso Pro, Sentinel or Garros. Every one contains exactly the same active ingredients at the same strength as Prosaro: 125 g/l prothioconazole and 125 g/l tebuconazole, as an EC formulation.
We're stocking it as the replacement for Orius-P and Monkey, which are out of stock across the UK. It isn't the same chemistry, as there's no prochloraz in it, but it covers the same jobs. Prothioconazole is one of the two actives AHDB names for eyespot at T1, and it's the azole most people reach for at T3 for ear disease. One thing to be straight about: on the labels we've checked, eyespot in wheat and barley is listed as reduction, not control. So on a high eyespot risk field, talk to your agronomist about what goes in with it.
The rate is 1.0 l/ha, not the 1.5 l/ha of Orius-P. So a 5 litre can covers 5 ha instead of 3.3 ha, which works out at about £14.40/ha against £21.60/ha for Orius-P at the same can price.

Use
- 1.0 l/ha, maximum 2 applications per crop, at least 21 days apart.
- Wheat and winter rye: up to end of flowering (GS69). Barley and oats: up to beginning of flowering (GS61). Oilseed rape: no later than 56 days before harvest.
- Both actives are triazoles (DMI), so on septoria it wants a partner with a different mode of action in the programme. Your agronomist will have a view.
- 5 m buffer to watercourses, which can be narrowed under a LERAP.
- Labels vary slightly between brands, so always follow the label on the can you receive.
